<image:caption>Dr. Veronica L. Coriano currently works as a certified school psychologist in Phoenix, AZ. She works with students and their families (preschool through 8th grade), general education teachers, special education teachers, administrators, related service providers (e.g., occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists), and other school staff to ensure that the needs of students in both general education and special education settings are met. Dr. Coriano conducts psychoeducational and comprehensive developmental assessments and also consults and collaborates with school teams to provide prevention and intervention services for students. Her goal is to increase positive social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes for all children, especially those from populations that are traditionally underserved. Dr. Coriano earned her Bachelor's degree from Elmhurst University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a major in psychology and a minor in intercultural studies. After graduating, she worked as a researcher at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for 2 years before deciding to further pursue her passion for learning. Dr. Coriano then went on to complete her Master's Degree and her Ph.D. in psychology at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA . With a passion for education, learning, and facilitating positive development and psychological wellbeing in children, she completed both her internship and postdoctoral training within the school system in order to further develop her expertise in school psychology. Dr. Coriano understands the importance of education as a powerful tool to alter trajectories, and, furthermore, that understanding each child's strengths and challenges within the home, school, and community can contribute to a more successful educational experience. Beyond cognitive abilities and academic skills, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning must also be addressed in order for children to be able to reach their maximum potential. With this in mind, Dr. Coriano strives to optimize students' educational experiences, by building on their strengths and supporting their needs within the school setting.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Ashlee Yates Flanagan co-founded Prosser Project Publishing Collective with her partners, during 2016-2017 while in her 1st year as doctoral student in School Psychology at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She serves as Co-founder, Partner, and Author to the collective. She was struck by the lack of Black and Brown faces in children’s literature, a resource often used in therapy and school settings to navigate discussions of feelings with children, and saw an opportunity to fill in the gap. She approached Trenesha Hill and Veronica Coriano with the idea, and they (without hesitation) were on board to figure out a way to contribute to the deficit. Together, they began to write stories, and on April 17, 2020 they legally registered their publishing company – Prosser Project, LLC. In the immediate Fall, they introduced their debut title, “Tamir & Naya Take on Anger.” Ashlee professionally identifies as a child and adolescent psychologist (in training), a publisher, a researcher, and as a storyteller. Her academic career has aligned to support these identifications. She received her M.A. in Counseling from NYU, her M.S. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from Tulane University. Her research experience ranges from (1) analyzing social media use & concepts of “belonging” among Black youth to (2) exploring Black adolescent racial identity development to (3) historically analyzing traumatic early childhood memories of formerly enslaved African American women. Much of her research can be identified as qualitative methodology, a methodology that largely examines individuals’ words and lived experiences through interviews, focus groups, and visual data – in other words their stories. Thus, Dr. Yates Flanagan is invested in uplifting the stories of people of color through writing for Prosser Project and through publishing her research.</image:caption>

<image:title>Trenesha</image:title>
<image:caption>Dr. Trenesha Hill holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has a program of research that focuses on addressing mental health and educational disparities by promoting socioemotional development and academic functioning in children with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disabilities) and children who live in poverty, particularly racial and ethnic minority children. Specifically, her program of research involves investigating: (1) mechanisms of psychopathology in youth with autism, (2) determinants of disparities among low-income children and children with autism, and (3) the translation of evidence-based programs in community settings. Dr. Hill started her postsecondary education at Tulane University in New Orleans. As the older sister of an individual with cerebral palsy and learning disabilities, she started college with the goal of helping children with developmental disabilities by becoming a pediatrician. Therefore, she started out as a pre-med student with a major in Cellular and Molecular Biology. As she progressed through her pre-med courses, she wasn’t happy with her studies and began enrolling in psychology courses as electives. During her junior year, she shadowed a psychologist at the Autism Center at Children’s Hospital New Orleans, which solidified the shift in her academic interests and career path to psychology. As a senior, she completed an independent research study focused on examining factors associated with anxiety in autistic children, which spurred her passion for research. She graduated from Tulane with a double major in Psychology and Cellular and Molecular Biology. After graduating from Tulane, Dr. Hill worked for Head Start and for a company that provides home and community services for individuals with developmental disabilities. To best serve children with developmental disabilities and those from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, she enrolled in the 4+1 master’s program in Psychology at Tulane, and continued towards the PhD in Psychology after earning her master’s degree. During her graduate training, her research career flourished and she received several research grants to support her research endeavors. Her professional training concluded with a combined clinical and research postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Colorado.</image:caption>
